Read Mike and Lisa’s story…
Mike and his partner Lisa had been considering a camper van for some time, but hadn’t taken the plunge of getting rid of one of their two family cars. After a visit to The Factory, they took our demo van out for a spin and were surprised at how ‘car-like’ a camper van is. We agreed a price for their old VW Sharan, and the adventure began. We had just bought a donor vehicle, a metallic black SWB van, meaning that they were free to choose whatever interior they wanted for delivery in around 5-6 weeks. Lisa chose the red gloss cabinets and the matching GTI upholstery, and Mike expressed a preference for our hard wearing grey floor as they have a dog. The van was ordered and they kept driving the old vehicle during the build process. Fast forward 6 weeks and they came over one Saturday morning to do the swap. Delighted doesn’t cover it…
Lisa: “I wasn’t sure about getting a camper van until I drove the Factory Campers demo van. I almost forgot that I was driving a camper van as it was very light and pretty easy to manoeuvre. The fact that Factory Campers were able to buy our old car was a big plus point as well. We love the van and will use it every day of the week, not just for trips away”.
